Yesterday

Husband and I went and ate delicious Fried Things on Sticks at the Kirin Ichiban Yatai pop up in Spitalfields.





For the princely sum of £10 each, we ate a selection of six sticks, beer and edamame.





smothered with a selection of tasty sauces in squeezy bottles







All very tasty and a fun way to spend the Friday lunch hour :-)

Later on, we ate this at home - duck livers, stir fried Green and barley wine.

Thursday Fun

Today has been a busy day... I had back to back meetings from 9 till 6, with only a twenty minute gap for a quick yogurt.

My consoling too-much-weekend-work-and-no-holiday shoes arrived:







We had an awesome picnic




And we drank champagne and prosecco whilst watching Crazy For You (which was awesome) at the Open Air Theatre.

Sunday Roast

I went through a big phase, between the ages of about 15 and probably 29, where I really thought that I didn't like roast dinners...
I think this possibly stemmed from some kind of gravy experience in childhood that was so traumatic that my subconscious is protecting me from.
However, I've recently discovered that, in fact, I perhaps only really dislike BAD roast dinners and that tasty ones (sans gravy, obviously) can actually be pretty, well, tasty :-)

So - Sunday dinner...
